The Ford/Fordson Collectors Association Inc (we
call ourselves F/FCA) is a
non-profit Corporation formed in 1992, dedicated to "Saving the past
for the future". The purpose was to form an organization dedicated
to preserving the names and history of Fordson, Ford-Ferguson and Ford
tractors along with Dearborn and Ford implements. We accomplish this
by publishing a news magazine we refer to as "The Journal" that is mailed to
our members four times per year. We also offer a registry in which members
may record their above mentioned tractors and implements.
Unfortunately, the registry information is current only at the time the
information for it is received. If owners sell, trade, or add to their
collections and don't inform us, then it becomes out of date. The
Registry contains approximately 3000 pieces.
We meet each year to conduct our Annual Meeting
and Show. This event is moved about the U.S. and held in a different
location each year by a host organization which will be featuring Ford/Fordson
as part of their annual event. We typically have about 300 tractors
and about 100 pieces of equipment along with extensive memorabilia, Scale
model & toy collections on display. We also have a number of members selling
replacement parts, NOS parts, used parts, and anything imaginable for the
Ford/Fordson tractor and equipment lines. Yet other members may
conduct technical discussions, demonstrations, seminars, and operations of
this extensive line of farm equipment, Recently Mr. Harold Brock, The
92 year old former Chief Engineer and Head of Tractor Production for Ford
Motor Company from 1939 to 1959 attended our 2006 meeting. He gave us
an insight of what it was like keeping Henry Ford happy, About building
these Ford tractors many years ago, as well as conducting a most interesting
question and answer session with members and attendees.
The F/FCA also sells items such as shirts, jackets, caps
and other items commemorating Ford/Fordson and our club. There are
presently 16 Directors, and a number of Advisors who plan and carry out the meeting and
other Club matters throughout the year. We
always look forward to the next show/meeting so that we may again have a
"reunion of our big Ford family". The Annual Meeting is just around
the corner! Won't you please consider joining us and enjoying the fun.
Sincerely, Steve Parker, Sec/Tre F/FCA |
